Jenny Kiffmeyer

Jenny’s love of performing began as a toddler when her sisters taught her songs to perform for neighbors stopping by the farm. She advanced to playing a singing donkey in first grade for a class play and there was no turning back. Jenny feels blessed to have been able to indulge and hone her thespian nature in a variety of musicals and plays in several Minnesota towns with very active community theatres: Northfield, Bemidji, Brainerd and Pequot Lakes. She has sung in choirs from grade school through college, including at St. Olaf and Luther Colleges.

Patrons in the Brainerd lakes area first saw her on stage in “Pump Boys and Dinettes” in 1994 and most recently in “Sister Act” this past summer. During the in between years, Jenny performed leading and supporting roles in at least 19 other local productions. “It’s A Wonderful Life: A Live Radio Play” offers yet a new theatre experience for her—live sound effects, and it has been great fun experimenting with and brainstorming the auditory options. By day, Jenny is a partner at the Retirement Learning Center in Brainerd. She has a great, supportive family who “encourages me to ‘do my theatre thing.’”
